2016 NOAA-NGI Diversity Internship Program
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Northern Gulf Institute (NGI) Diversity Internship Program provides an exciting scientific educational opportunity for undergraduate and early stage graduate students. These internships provide career exploration in a variety of fields studied by NOAA and NGI scientists including coastal science, fisheries management, climate change, ecosystem management, marine technology, engineering, socio-economic data analysis and environmental justice. Interns work with leading scientists and experts from federal, regional and state laboratories and agencies and academic institutions who mentor students in research relevant to the northern Gulf of Mexico.
Interns will receive a competitive stipend to help cover living expenses. However, obtaining housing at the internship workplace is the responsibility of the intern and not the program. Academic credit is not issued through the NOAA-NGI Diversity Internship Program.
The application deadline is March 18, 2016
