NGI Gulf Research Initiative Results

Ecosystem management and coastal hazards research at the Northern Gulf Institute improves the understanding of the northern Gulf ecosystems, allowing improved understanding of impacts from the Deepwater Horizon spill. NGI Gulf Research Initiative research funded by BP focuses on monitoring, modeling, and managing the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Research projects are transitioned to use by coastal managers who will be called on to restore the northern Gulf ecosystems.
